Did Jacob Limp for the Rest of His Life?

The Sefer haChinuch (3) writes explicitly (750 years ago) that just as God especially rose the sun early in order to heal Ya'akov's limp (Breishit 32, 32, see also Rashi there, and Malachi 3, 19-20), so too He will help Israel stand up and help us recuperate from the Holocaust (as He did by subsequently giving us the State of Israel), and from the more recent Hamas pogrom and any other attempt to hinder the revival of Israel during our national redemption.
