Question
Is there a prayer that a Jew can pray when hes forced to desecrate the Shabbat under hardship?
(ie in prision or in a non-observant family that does not allow for Shabbat observance and will expel the Jew which has no means of self-sustenance at the time?)
If possible, please publish this. I am certain more of us will find it useful sooner or later
Answer
I'm not aware of such a prayer and could not find one. In any event, such a prayer should come from your heart, in your own words in a language where you can express yourself, and be focused on that your will is to follow God's will, and pray that He enable you do to observe Shabbat as soon as possible. Also, in the case where it's a monetary forcing, you must find a way to sustain yourself as soon as possible, in a way that enable your Shabbat observance.
In any event, you should know for your own conscience and spiritual health, that if in fact, you are truly forced by others against your will, to desecrate the Shabbat, especially if someone else, not you, gains from it, it is considered "m'lacha she'eino tzarich l'gufo" and is not a Torah prohibition, but is lowered to a "rabbinic" level, so it's not as serious as you probably thought. All the best in your striving to observe Shabbat!
