Did Moshe and the children of Israel wear tallit and tzizit with techelet during wandering in the desert?

Apparently yes, after the giving of the Torah, for that was the classic type of clothing worn by men, as also seen by the Midrash when Korach comes to ask Moshe whether a cloak of the color tchelet is obligated in Tzitzit.
