Adam
Question
Did Adam actually ’sin’?
Answer
The term "sin" isn't found anywhere in Judaism, but is a poor often-used translation of the word: "cheit", which really means: mistake (see Judges 20, 16). Yes, Adam made a mistake by not listening to God and eating from the forbidden fruit. Although he tried blaming Eve, in Judaism everyone is responsible for their own actions, and while Eve was guilty as well, that's no excuse for Adam.
