Question
Is the law (mitzvots) only for Jews. Iโ€™m not a convert but I adhere to all the holidays, Shabbat, the Torah etc. Are you saying because Iโ€™m not a Jew I should just continue sinning? The previous answer surely cannot be correct. Best regards
Answer
You are not obligated, but according to the Rambam, gentiles can do almost all of the mitzvot, adhere to the holidays, etc.. Utilize this option as a treat, where you can choose to connect to those mitzvot with which you "connect" without the pressure of feeling that you must do them all! Specifically regarding Shabbat there is a particular issue, because it is called a covenant and testimony of the Jewish People that God took us out of Egypt. Anyone who wants to convert can join this testimony, but one who doesn't want to convert can observe Shabbat to a certain extent as a day of rest and contemplation and remembering Creation, without all of the thousands of details involved with total Shabbat observance for Jews. For example, you can choose to observe it as a day without smart-phones and internet, but should you want to call your parents for an important reason, there's no reason why not to do so.
