Ask the Rabbi
Question
May one listen to music to help relax during the Omer? Thank you
Answer
R. Shlomo Zalman Auerbach says that being that the source of the custom is not to dance during the Omer mourning period, if it's relaxing music that doesn't bring one to dance, it's allowed. Of course it's better, if possible to listen to relaxing Jewish music
