Question
Do also non-jews get a certain amount of words before they die or just Jews?
Answer
Even regarding Jews, this is not an exact quote from our sages. There is something similar in Midrash Tehilim 139, 4, on the verse: "For there is no word on my tongue; behold, O Lord, You know it all", where the sages teach there that Hashem knows everything, even the words that I will say in the future. There is room for what the mussar and hassidic works learn from here, to say that if every word of a person is known ahead of time, so if a person "uses up" his words early, he may die earlier, but it's clearly not the essential point here, which is that God knows everything. The concept of speaking worthy words is obviously worthy for all, including gentiles, but they are not bound or obligated by the all of the strict details of gossiping like Jews are.
