The people complain about the food, so Hashem sends quails and Mahn that falls from the heavens every day except Shabbat. A double portion descends on Friday. When the Jews complain about a lack of water, Moshe miraculously produces water
from a rock.
Amalek attacks the Jews. Joshua leads the battle while Moshe prays; Amalek is defeated.
