Question
How should I respond to children who ask why we must clean so much in places where there is certainly no Chametz? I tell myself that now is time to reach every corner, how can I convince my children that it is also important by religious law, or maybe it’s not right at all to spend time on cleaning of non-Chametz?
Answer
According to Halacha is not necessary to clean a place where there is no fear of finding chametz. Indeed, many families take advantage of the opportunity to clean the house, but if it is a burden, you should focus on cleaning the places that have chametz and wait with the rest of cleaning after Pesach.
