Question
I can’t keep up with the only minyan when I live.
Maariv is the hardest for me. And it isn’t the speed that’s my problem, it’s the fact that everyone is talking and yelling, some while studying, others are just talking shop.
I have to start 5-7 early to start the Shemoneh Esrei with the minyan.
When they finish even with the extra Tehillim, I’m still in the Shemoneh Esrei.
As soon as they are finished, they just start talking, yelling laughing, and walking around.
I am normally still in the Shemoneh Esrei, I have to put my fingers in my ears to block out the noise.
It makes it t imposable to concentrate at all for the remainder of the davening, and I find myself getting angry at the lack of Derek Eretz for someone still davening.
Most of the members here are Rabbi’s in a Kohel, and I’m told they are aloud to walk and talk around me after Davening and I can go to another room.
I need guidance, because I can’t exile myself from not going to Maariv.
I’m already doing Vasikin/ Natz to get away from the issues with the Shacharis Minyon speed, and then stay for their minyan for all the parts I miss from not being in a minyan.
Minchah isn’t as big of an issue, as I only need a min or two head start, and everyone runs out of shul at the end, and I go to many places for Minchah as I travel around NJ during the day for work.
I don’t know how to handle Maariv, I don’t know what to do. I was told start early, stay as late as I need, and then to just leave the bes midrash, while I’m still praying, for all the speedy Kohel rabbis to walk around and socialize, while I would be forced to finish in the social hall. This issue is causing me to lose faith and respect in and for the Rabbis, as it seems they have no Derek Eretz for someone not on their level that needs more time to daven, and a complete disrespect the shekinah while I’m Davening.
When I address it individually, I get I’m sorry, and then they do it again, or they just say this is the way it’s done, and we are not doing anything wrong.

It is very sad to hear of the behavior of people where you daven, which unfortunately is not an issue which can be easily resolved.
I will try to offer solutions which with Be'zrat Hashem you may solve your problem.
Firstly, let's establish some principles. According to the Shulchan Aruch 226:3 the main part of Tefilla and at Maariv is the Shmoneh Esrei. Therefore, the Shulchan Aruch stipulates that if one comes late to Ma'ariv, and he will not manage to say Shmoneh Esrei with the minyan, he should directly say Shmoneh Esrei with the minyan and complete that which proceeds it later.
The Misna Brura says, that if you live outside Eretz Yisrael where ברוך ה' לעולם is said, if by skipping that part it allows enough time to daven Shmoneh Esrei with the minyan, you may skip that part totally since it is only a minhag and some oppose saying it at all.
As far as the noise is concerned, you may want to consider to behave as we did during Covid. Find a place where you can clearly see the Minyan and are considered part of it but yet a but
distant to be away from the noise.
All the Best
