What is said on the website is general information, for personal guidance how to pursue in personal spiritual development, it always recommended to seek guidance from a Rabbi who knows you best.
Nonetheless, I have already written a few answers in regard to wigs on this website. You may refer to them in addition to this answer.
There is a question if it is proper at all for a woman to use a wig as a head covering. This issue was well disputed more than one hundred years ago. The opinions are summarized in Otzar Haposkim. (Even Haezer 21:2:5). The Mishna Brura (75:15) allowed to wear a wig as a head covering where the custom is to allow them and since the time I was young I have known of many G-D fearing women married to important Talmidei Chachamim who have used wigs.
In addition, when Rav Tzvi Yehuda Kook zt"l,when asked if a woman should prefer a wig or a hat, he answered that the main thing is that a married woman have her head truly covered, regardless of wig or hat. (גדול שימושה, תשד"מ, אות פ"א)
