Beard on Face of Man
Question
I would like to know what Jews religion says about beard on face of man. Is it compulsory in Torah?
What size / length it must be?
Answer
The Torah prohibits a Jew to shave his beard with a razor blade, yet scissors or even a shaver, according to many authorities, are a valid way of removing ones beard.
Nonetheless it is traditional for Jews to grow beards and most commonly found by rabbis and spiritual leaders.
There is no obligatory length as long as no razor blade is used.
