Goyim and the World To Come
Question
Will non-Jews (Goyim) have a place in the World To Come? I was told they would, but i’ve also been told that they won’t since halacha consider them to be "idol" worshippers, i.e. the Christians.
Answer
Although there are several Midrashic statements that indicate that non Jews have no place in the world to come, in Mishnat Rabbi Eliezer it is clear that the righteous of the nations ("Chassidei Umot HaOlam) have a place in the world to come. The Rambam accepts this position as normative in 2 places in Mishne Torah - Laws of Repentance 3;5 and Laws of Kings 8;11.
