I am an Aveil within the 12 months. If I want to don new clothing I understand I can have someone else first wear it before I do.
How long must that person wear the clothing for?
Answer
Two to three days- long enough in each case for the particular article of clothing to lose its sheen of newness- Pnei Baruch 18 11 n.23.
