Followup question: can child of deceased marry mourning yr
Question
What about her father? What is his restriction re the wedding, since he lost his spouse, (her mother)?
Answer
Yes. A child of a deceased can get married during the year of mourning.
The father participates as usual. If it is within 30 days of mourning and there is a custom in his family or community to serve some people at the beginning of the wedding, he should follow the custom. Otherwise, no restrictions. Please note: Year of mourning is only for a parent. For a spouse and other immediate relative, mourning is only 30 days.
