Question
The verse in shirat haYam was just an example. Meaning to say that for us to believe the public miracles of the exodus with just a tradition that it happened seems like an extra-ordinary leap of faith. We know that other traditions make such claims and yet we choose not to convert since we have explanations that are just more likely. Between 50,000 and 100,000 people claim to have seen the Miracle of the Sun on the 13th October, 1917 however neither of us are convinced that the event testifies to the divinity of Jesus. We only have a tradition that many witnessed sinai, we dont have living witnesses or extra-biblical evidence to corroborate the tradition. The maatikei haShemua is just a list of names knocked up the Rambam - it doesnt provide evidence that we should consider as substantive. The ancient Aztecs believed equally remarkable beliefs of their ancestors. I dont see how we are unique. We just employ different standards when it comes to our own traditions. Really appreciate your guidance as living without my emunah is unpleasant to say the least.

Shalom,
Let's start from your last remark about living without Emuna. I will do my utmost to give my guidance, but you must realize that to begin to gain some clarity on your questions you must at least have a personal in-depth conversation on these of issues of your Emuna with a Rabbi who has the knowledge and experience to deal with these type of questions.
Secondly, strengthening your Emuna also immersing yourself in learning books of Emuna, and it can take a bit of time until certain ideas begin to crystallize.
Having said that, I will try to do my little share into trying to address some of the things that are bothering you.
Emuna, basically means internalizing and living the things that you identify with. Emuna goes above intellectual proofs or emotional feelings. Therefore, we are not so concerned that other faiths make one claim or another. Who have to ask yourself what talks to me?
Therefore, when you keep repeating the idea that there is no extra-biblical evidence to corroborate the tradition, you are limiting yourself to the most unconvincing means of gaining faith. It is like your saying, let me ignore the unbroken tradition of receiving the Torah at Sinai, which was passed from generation to generation, with a list of names of the prophets and the outstanding scholars of the Mishna and the Talmud besides the thousands of their followers who carried on the tradition, because this event "did not appear in the newspaper. "
This is not a list "knocked up" by the Rambam as you have written. These were actual people, and the Rambam is not only one of many who dealt with the unbroken torah transmission. Even when we went into exile, we know the names of the Geonic scholars, Rabbi to student, and then into period of the "Rishonim" in Spain, Germany, Italy , France and other countries. This is not something to brush away. The Jewish people's tenacity in holding own to these traditions is quite substantive.
Just to explain myself, let me use an exampleץ In 1938, the radio in the U.S. did a hoax , presented in the form of a series of news bulletins, describing an alien invasion beginning in Grovers Mill, New Jersey. It was so realistic that many listeners thought it was a real event, not fiction. So here have something which was "corroborated" by extra-biblical evidence, which was a total hoax.
Again, while I try to do my best with my short answer, I suggest sitting with a Rabbi you feel comfortable with and having a proper conversation.
