If a Levi marries a gentile
Question
If a Levi marries a gentile, and they have a son, and following the birth of the son, the gentile mother and son subsequently convert, is the son of this marriage also a Levi, and is he entitled to the second aliyah?
Answer
Thank you for your question
The son is not considered a Levi, (he is no different than any other non-Jew
who converts to Judaism).
