Question
Hello. I had a child with a non - jew. Can she participate in all jewish activities? I want to bring her up jewish. Is it true we have to wait for her to turn 13 for her to officially convert?
Answer
Judaism is carried on by the mother, your child therefore is not Jewish and in order to be one she must convert. There is a possibility to convert little children but you will have to consult the orthodox Beth Din in your area.
