Question
what are the reasons? are they same??
Answer
It is possible that the Rabbis used the golem to aid them with various physical needs. The Maharal of Prague, in his commentary of the Tractate of Sanhedrin suggests another reason. By making a golem we are following in G-d's ways, in that He creates people. Through the creation of a golem we can draw closer to Hashem in this way.
