sabbath
Question
Hi there, I want to know if I have to keep the Sabbath or not. I am not a jew, but I do believe in the one true God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. I follow the rest of the commandments, Im just not sure if I’m suppose to keep the Sabbath as well. Do gentiles or Bnei Noach’s keep sabbath? Thank you
Answer
Shalom,
Thank you for your question. In short, the answer is “no”, a non-Jew should not keep the Shabbat, and certainly not with the laws and restrictions that the Jewish people use to celebrate the Shabbat.
May you be blessed with every success and happiness in your closeness to the Jewish people.
