Modeh ani
Question
So if I sleep in the morning or afternoons should I say modeh ani again ?
Answer
Shalom,
Thanks for writing back. Modeh Ani is not an obligation, but a widespread (and very good) custom. The general practice is to recite it only in the morning after one’s major sleep at night. However, one is allowed to recite it whenever one likes.
Blessings.
