shalom! I want to know the difference between 2 words used for firstfruits "reshiyth and bikkurim"

The Malbim explains that Reishit is a more general word, and can and is used for anything and everything which is first (including fruit), as opposed to Bikkurim which is a specific word for first fruits (as opposed, for example to b’chorim, first-born children).
