Question
I have one sink used for both milchig and fleishig. I try not to use the very hot water that is 'Yad Soledis Bo'. I was washing a pot and the water turned very hot enough that I couldn't keep my finger underneath. The pot did not touch the sink but from the faucet, the hot water went directly onto the pot.
Can I use the pot?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
Since you use one sink , the sink is not kosher, since it has absorbed both meat and milk.
.
There is no problem using the sink, and opening boiling water in the sink as long as you do not place the dishes directly in the sink but place them on a rack in the sink and you do not plug the drain to the fill the sink with water.
Therefore, if you held the pot in your hand did not place the pot in the sink there is no problem whatsoever with your pot.
All the best
May Hashem grant strength to his people and bless his people with peace.
