A Middle Name that Won’t be/Isn’t Used
Question
Should one give a child a middle name if the child will not be called by the middle name all the time? Does this present a Mazal or chinuch problem?
Answer
It's fine. Especially if the name will make a parent or spouse happy (which is usually the case!), which is much more important, and a greater mitzva, than any kabbalistic (real or imagined) rumor.
