Question
Most soaps are made from sodium tallowate (beef fat)do I have to use only soap with Hechsher?
Answer
Soap does not require a hechsher. Beef fat from a non kosher animal is forbidden to eat, but benefit may be derived from it. Washing with the soap is a permitted benefit.
