Question
It is known for Teimani jews to have a tradition regarding locust and it’s Kashrut, alloowing them to eat it.
Can one who does not have such a tradition rely on theirs?
Answer
Generally, one can rely upon others traditions, if the tradition is continuous and held by Talmidei Chachamim. These jews have been in Israel for over 50 years. No locust has been through Israel during that time. Can such a tradition be relied upon? The subject needs to be checked.
