In every generation, there are those who imagine that this world is random, so they are also very afraid of what is happening – three years ago there was the coronavirus pandemic; a year ago, quarrels within the country; this year, the seventh of October – who knows what will happen next year? Such people are generally discouraged and participate in Ahashverosh's banquet of despair because "the State of Israel already lost on October 7th"; they are also very angry, like Haman who is "filled with fury" since reality does not turn out according to his plans – so they are full of bitterness that Hamas and Hezbollah are disrupting their dream of a "new Middle East".
The descendants of Mordechai and Esther despite "sitting at the king's gate", do not pretend to know exactly what will happen; they do their best at the given moment, and are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes. They rejoice on Purim 5784 because they know one thing for sure – that there is a king in this world, and in the end "You have always been Israel's salvation, and their hope in every generation".
