Ask the Rabbi
Question
Peace! I will ask a question with the purpose of understanding. Since the Jewish people dont believe in Jesus the Messiah, why are there many mentions in Tanakh (Old Testament)- Zechariah, Isaiah, Exodus and the Psalms refer to Jesus.
Thanks
Answer
There is obviously not even one mention of him. The Tanach refers in many places to the Mashiach, but there is no reason whatsoever to think he was the Mashiach. He didn't fulfill any of the messianic signs mentioned, didn't gather the exiles, didn't revive the deserted Land of Israel, didn't expell the Romans etc.from Israel
