I am not familiar with your level or backgroung but in general, the Aish HaTorah and Chabad websites are pretty good. Regarding books, I can reccomend: A Guide to Jewish Prayer: Steinsaltz, Rabbi Adin. I'll also add, that it's very important to pray for the welfare and needs of all of Israel, and not just one's own.
