Question
If my great grandmother was Dutch Jewish, is there any significance in my life as far as the Abrahamic Covenant? Thank you so much!
Answer
As you are probably aware, one's Judaism is determined through one's mother, mother's mother... etc. So if your mother's mother's mother was Jewish, than you are totally and 100% Jewish! If that's the case, allow me to bless you on your good fortune to "re-join our people", and strongly suggest that you contact a local orthodox rabbi asap. If you are in Alabama, I believe the Knesseth Israel Congregation in Birmingham is the place for you! All the best!
