Question
I am a former christian who has determined that my own personal beliefs are more in agreement with Judaism. Is it necessary for me to be formally converted to Judaism? Can I consider it my religion if I dont? (I am asking this because I do not live near any Jewish communities or synagogues and formal conversion would be near impossible.)
Answer
Shalom, You would definitely need to be officially converted to Judaism in order to be considered Jewish according to Jewish law. You should contact the closest Jewish community in order to do so. Kol Tuv
