why did Adoni kill Er? What was Ers sin?
Answer
The Talmud (Yevamot 34b) explains on the verse (38, 10) "... and He also (!) killed him", that Er was killed for a similar offense as Onan, that he also didn't want to impregnate Tamar, so that pregnancy would "not mar her beauty".
