Hi Rabbi Is there a problem of borer regarding non-food objects on yom tov?? Thamk you

Borer is permitted on Yom Tov only regarding food and the reason is for the sake of eating food. And also here there are things which are permitted and things which are not permitted (see Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim 510, 2). Borer in regard to utensils, books, clothes and other objects is not permitted on Yom Tov and its law is the same as on Shabbat (Shmirat Shabbat Kehilchatah 15, 42. Nitei Gavriel Laws of Yom Tov Part A, 6, 28).
