Changing Utensils from Meat to Dairy
Question
Is it possible to change the status of utensils that have been used for meat to be used for dairy? If yes please advice the process involved.
Thanks,
Answer
It is not costly to buy a new set of cutlery, therefore one should not change cutlery from meat to milk or otherwise. If there is a great need to or a piece of cutlery has become treif than one can immerse the piece in hot, bubbling water (on the flame) with soup and then rinse it off and it becomes Parve.
