Question
I was born with a caul or some call it a veil. My grandfather told me it was a sign of a blessing. But, I can’t find any references to it anywhere, Torah or otherwise. I found a reference that said Moses was born with caul and that’s all. Any help would be appreciated.
A caul is being born with a thin transparent membrane covering the face, ears and neck, sealing the face behind a veil.
Answer
There are superstitions regarding a caul throughout the world. What counts is not the state of the amniotic sac you were born in, but what you have done since then.
