Ein Ayah:It was demonstrated that the above is true. The nations will find an excuse to persecute Jews no matter what, including a Jew who tried to hide his internal strength – nationalism that is rooted in Torah. Under such circumstances, he will be pained that he hid that which was important to try to find favor in the eyes of the enemy, only to realize that it is not possible to avoid their hatred. Pappus then saw the beauty of one who was brave enough to hold on to the Torah, the "tree of life," and put his trust in Hashem.
