Question
Hello Rabbi, I recently found out through ancestry.com that I have 3% Jewish DNA. With that small percentage would that make me a Jew ?
Answer
No it doesn't make you a Jew, for Judaism is decided by one's mother, and not even one's father, and surely not a DNA test even if it was 100%. Nevertheless, it's great if you can support the Jewish people and Israel, and especially help fight against international anti-Semitism, which unfortunately has recently raised its hatred. All the best!
