Question
We live in a religious neighborhood in a suburb of Jerusalem . Someone discarded a set of Corelle dishes. I do not know who discarded them or what they were used for. The discarded dishes happen to be an exact match for our Dairy Passover dishes, of which many have broken over the course of the last 40 years. I have not seen that model available commercially anymore. These are regular dishes, not cooking utensils, although they could potentially be used in a microwave, but definitely not over an open flame. Can I kasher them to add to our Passover dishes?
Answer
Shalom,
You could kasher them by doing hagala three times.
All the best!
