Question
Hello Rabbi, If I have prayed in a room with a cross, must I pray again in a different room? Additionally, if I have prayed on my own for my needs/wants in English and with dirty hands and a room with a cross, will my prayer still receive the angels assistance? I am worried due to this article: https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/806311/jewish/Must-I-pray-in-Hebrew.htm Best, Sophia
Answer
Again, it's better to pray in a different room, or at least turn your back on the cross, and also wash your hands beforehand, but if you already prayed, you need not pray again for God hears all prayers, and in general, we (and of course God) don't need the angels as intermediaries! Hassidic Jews (like Chabad) may talk more about angels than does mainstream Judaism, which strongly believes precisely in our direct & personal relationship with God.
