ב"ה Shalom One may not use stick deodorant, nor smear cream or ointment, or use a bar of soap, or toothpaste on Shabbos. Similarly, one may not apply lipstick on Shabbos. They all come under the category of "Memare'ach -smearing, which is forbidden on Shabbat. This Halacha applies both for Sefardim and Ashkenazim.
