deodorant
Question
thank you
what do people normally use instead of deodorant? Are there any options?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
Sorry, if I didn't make myself clear enough. The problem is not the use of deodorant per se, but the use of stick deodorant which is in solid form and is smeared on the body which is similar to the case the Shulchan Aruch mentions of smearing an ointment like substance which is forbidden on Shabbat, for non-food products.
However, one may use a liquid roll or a spray which is sprayed on the body but not on the clothing.
