May I play background songs of Jerusalem at a Chanukat Habayit during the first 33 days of the Omer?
Answer
Shalom U'vracha, You may play background songs of Jerusalem only if they are calm and relaxed songs, and not overly joyful songs that can lead to dancing. It is permitted to sing songs, individually or as a group. See Halichot Shlomo (Pesach:11,14,18) All the best!
