Question
Shalom and Thanks to you all for your amazing work. Your site is an immense help to me, practically and spiritually.
I always need to go to the bathroom as soon as I wake up. I read in the Hebrew section that I should put water near my bed, wash hands, not bless, go to the bathroom, wash hands again and.....here is my question...do I say the bracha of netilat yadim and then asher yatzar? In that order?
Answer
In the morning, after going to the bathroom you say first the blessing of Al Netilat Yadayim and then Asher Yatzar. All other visits to the bathroom warrent only the Asher Yatzar blesssing.
