Question
My wife is expecting our first child within a month. What should we do if she goes in to labor on Shabbat?
Answer
Shalom U'veracha,
In a case when a woman has to give birth on Shabbat and needs to drive there it is permitted, and may be better to order an ambulance than for the couple to drive themselves.
If there is any danger she should drive and not walk.
