Interfaith
Question
I recently came across an "Ask a Rabbi" site and I heard from a rabbi that was talking to me about the Interfaith movement. Can you tell me what that is? Is it OK to learn from a rabbi that is involved with accepting religions other than Judaism?
Answer
I'm not sure I fully understood this "interfaith movement" but if it means that other religions are also expectable – this is not a Jewish approach, and you should stay away from these people.
If it means to meet with other religions and to discuss issues of importance to world peace and interfaith interaction to improve world wide acknowledgment of the Jewish principals – that might not be a bad thing depending on who is involved, under what circumstances and in what way it is done.
