Question
Am I allowed to invite my parents for a friday night meal, when I know they will drive to my home, even though I offer them to stay over for all of Shabbat?Does Shalom Bayit play any role here?
Answer
This is a very difficult question to answer, but if they arrive before Shabbat and you prepare them a room to stay over, and there is a likelyhood that they will stay, you may invite them for Shabbat.
