Question
i heard recently that one can use plastic braces (called azikonim in Israel) to tie down schach of a sukah. is this true?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom
According to some poskim it may be used. (מראה הבזק חלק ו, נה). According to others, for Sefardim it is allowed, for Askenazim it preferably should not be used, however where there is no other possibility to keep the Schach down one may use it, and once used the sukka is kosher.
