During Chol Hamoed, is participating in Jury Duty permitted?

Rabbi Hershel Schachter wrote to me that it is permitted. Incidentally, as noted in the previous responsum, some authorities prohibit jury service altogether. However, if you wish to follow Rabbi Schachter's ruling, you may do so even on Chol HaMoed.
