Question
is glycerol also sweet as glycerin or is it pugim ?

There is a machloket about this. Some hold that it it is considered pagum (פגום). Other poskim hold that it isn’t considered pagum because it became pagum purposely as part of its production process. Most poskim are stringent (מחמיר) about this.
