Avraham’s tests
Question
What was the hardest test for Avraham? How many tests were there and why ?
Answer
ב"ה
Shalom,
Again referring to Rashi (Bereshit 22:2), It would seem, that the most difficult trial for Avraham was Akedat Yitzchak. Because the pasuk says "Please take your son…" What is the need for the word "please "? Rashi says it's as if Hashem asked him "Please, I ask of you, please withstand this trial so it shouldn't be said that the previous ones were not significant". This would indicate akedat Yitzchak as the most difiicult.
The Mishna in Avot 5:3 says that Avraham had ten trials and he stood firm through them all. The reason for them according to the Mishna was to show how great was the love of Avraham our forefather for G-d.
